Establish and maintain a website that features the activities of the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS)

Facilitate exchange of scholars, experts from government agencies and NGOs through conferences, discussion groups and colloquia in Malaysia and abroad

Formulate a research framework for IAIS, initiate and assign projects to capable researchers individually or jointly in Malaysia and overseas

Establish incentive programs, research awards and cooperation with other institutions of higher learning in Malaysia and abroad

Hold an annual projection and planning session at the beginning of the calendar year

Conduct periodical briefing and colloquia on current status of research by the Institute’s staff and consultants

Publish a specialised journal and other publications that feature the Institute’s own research output and selected works it may receive from outside

Hold monthly meetings of the Institute’s think tank group to generate ideas and strategic initiatives

Invite visiting fellows and researchers from within Malaysia and abroad that may be particularly qualified to undertake research and consultancy work
